The 2020 Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs Les Voiettes, 100% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, sizzles with tension. Chalk, mint, sage, kirsch and dried flowers all race across the palate. Bright saline notes lend shape and tension throughout. This is a stellar showing from Savart. What a wine! The 2020 was vinified and raised in 500L barrels, then aged on the cork. The 2020 Champagne Grand Cru Verzenay Les Voiettes Extra Brut pours a bright straw hue and offers ripe citrus with a fine mousse and focused energy. A mix of elegance, fruit, and tension, the texture is more straightforward. Drink 2025-2055.
