All the nutty richness, the bold scale and creaminess we associate with Meursault from this 1er Cru site, but married to lovely apple-pear freshness that animates the generous body through the long, compact, yet very clean, mineral finish. The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes (Domaine Louis Jadot) exhibits aromas of popcorn, green apple, pear and orange oil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's a rich, open-knit rendition of this site, derived from the holdings of the erstwhile Domaine Prieur-Brunet.

A slightly fuller yellow, plumper, some vanilla, offering the expected Charmes amplitude, rounded, with pear and peach notes, not over exotic but a full mouthful nonetheless. Tasted: November 2021
