A plot of 1 hectare, with plenty of flint in the soil here on the plateau, facing north. From 50+ year old vines with small bunches. Slightly paler in colour and there is indeed a smokiness to the nose, with a chiselled feel. Fresh apples too. An interesting wine – could I confuse it with Montagny? A slight marine note to finish. Tasted May 2022.
