Les Champs Libres (by Lafleur) 2024

The 2024 Les Champs Libres, pure Sauvignon Blanc picked on September 10 and 11, takes a little coaxing from the glass to gradually reveal subtle white flower, beeswax and Anjou pear scents. The palate is well balanced with lime cordial and citrus fruit on the entry giving way to hints of Japanese yuzu and Clementine towards the poised and persistent finish. This is simply one of the best whites produced in 2024 in Bordeaux. 2028 - 2045

Lemon and lime rind with sliced green melon. Some fresh lemongrass as well as white-pepper undertones. Medium-bodied, this has a tactile and energetic palate.

Prances out with showy notes of fresh pears, green apples, and yuzu zest, with hints of coriander seed, candle wax, and fennel seed. The light to medium-bodied palate is crisp and refreshing with intense citrus layers and a long chalky finish.100% Sauvignon Blanc.
