From vines that are almost 70 years old, Peter Malberg's 2019 Weissenkirchner Ried Weitenberg Grüner Veltliner is fascinatingly deep, pure and flinty as well as intense and concentrated on the bright, fresh and aromatic nose that represents perfectly ripe Veltliner berries. Dense and lush on the palate, this is a full-bodied, intense and textured, highly elegant and mineral Veltliner with a very long, intense, concentrated and sustainable finish. It is still yeasty and always chewy. This is definitely a wine that can be aged for 30 or more years. 13.5% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in September 2021.
