**Note: from a .40 ha parcel**Here there is no reductive funk though it requires aggressive swirling to coax the reticent nose to reveal notes of cherry, pomegranate and a lovely range of spice elements. The sleek but equally restrained broad-shouldered and focused flavors possess a taut muscularity while delivering excellent persistence on the impeccably well-balanced finale. Unlike most of the wines in the range this is definitely going to require close to a decade of patience to soften the firm tannic spine. Drink: 2026+
