Tasting notes

Kristaps Karklins, Wine Advocate, December 2025 94

Born from rigorous selection in a botrytis-pressured year, the 2010 Dom Pérignon Rosé is composed of 44% Chardonnay—sourced predominantly from Chouilly, Cramant and Avize—and 56% Pinot Noir, with the latter largely drawn from Verzenay, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers. Eleven percent of the Pinot Noir was vinified as red wine, lending the wine its color, aromatic lift and textural nuance. Disgorged in March 2024 with a dosage of five grams per liter, it unfurls from the glass with aromas of bitter orange, wild raspberry and fresh strawberry, mingled with nuances of rooibos, Timut pepper and charred, buttered toast. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, muscular and vinous, built around a rich yet vibrant core of fruit, complemented by structuring phenolics that impart its bitter qualities. Ample and textural, this is a commendable effort in a challenging Champagne vintage. 2026-2038

Essi Avellan MW, Club Oenologique, May 2025 96

Eleven percent of Pinot Noir red wine lends the cuvée its refined, gently peach tinged hue, slightly paler than usual. The nose captivates with its understated elegance, offering a delicate interplay of spicy, woody nuances and expressive, crunchy red-cherry fruit. With air, notes of ripe pineapple emerge, bringing a subtle sweetness and charm. On the palate, the wine surprises with its poise and restraint. Light in touch, yet intricately structured, framed by super-fine tannins. While one might expect power from this solar harvest year challenged by late season rains, Dom Pérignon 2010 reveals instead a remarkably elegant expression, radiating instant, articulate complexity.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, July 2025 99

Aromas and flavors of complex potpourri as well as sliced strawberries, iron and terra-cotta. Some beeswax, stems and flower petals as well. It's medium-bodied and transparent, refined phenolics giving it length and finesse. Polished and delicate finish. You can feel the superb quality of the pinot noir (56%) with 44% chardonnay. Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, June 2025 19

Stunning. So rich and complex on the nose! With almonds, burgundy flavours and strong Pinot Noir character on the nose. Really exciting! No shortage of structure. It seems so rich that it kids you there is some sweetness but the dosage was less than 5 g/l. Food wine. Should be great with tonight's langoustines! Long and savoury on the end. If grand cru rosé burgundy existed, this is what it would taste like. Drink: 2025-2035
