Aromas of cherries, cassis, peonies, orange rind, rich soil tones and spices preface the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Carrières, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming wine that's lively and precise, concluding with a long, saline finish.

Firm reduction. The exceptionally rich larger-scaled flavors possess both impressive mid-palate density and very good power on the moderately mineral-driven finish where a touch of warmth emerges. This vibrant effort isn't perfectly balanced, but it manages to carry its elevated alcohol level reasonably well.
