Chablis Vaudesir, Christian Moreau 2021

The 2021 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru was fermented entirely in barrel from which my sample is taken. It has a taut and linear bouquet of lemon curd and light green apple notes with underlying granitic scents. The palate is well-balanced with a pure entry, lemon zest and orange rind intermixed with light nettle and gooseberry notes towards the strict finish. Give this well-crafted Vaudésir a couple of years in bottle. (Drink between 2025-2048)

Pale lemon yellow. The wood is more apparent here but there is a volume of fruit to match. This is lively with just medium body, more in the typical white fruit mode, balanced acidity and good persistence. Drink from 2026-2032
