Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, November 2023 93/95

Medium deep and bright purple. As always has the slightly coffee torrefaction nose but with pretty red fruit beneath. Juicy on the palate, at the front then a little more austere behind. But this is one of the more attractive versions I have had here. I said as much to Frédéric. “Well its taken 20 years to persuade you, Jasper”, he responded – “but I have to admit you were right, at the start!”. Maybe a fourth star next year? Drink from 2032-2038
