The 1890 Verdelho has an elegant, refined bouquet that is pure and seductive. It offers precise aromas of orange peel, tangerine, dried honey and wax resin with great delineation. The palate is very well-balanced with impressive clarity and poise. It builds nicely in the mouth with tangy, oxidative notes that are perfectly in tune with the sweetness. This illustrates just how well Verdelho ages over decades. This is a stunning 122-year-old Madeira.
