Tasting notes

Tim Atkin MW, timatkin.com, September 2026 94

The regular Rall Syrah comes from the same site as the Ava bottling, located between the Kasteelberg and Porseleinberg. Entirely concrete fermented, it marries aromas of violet and incense with a serious, layered palate of blackberry and liquorice, complemented by sappy acidity, lots of colour and well-structured tannins. Drink: 2028-33
