The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru has a very refined bouquet, offering more obvious red berry fruit than the 2014 if not quite the same degree of precision. The palate is medium-bodied, very pure and refined with a fine delineation, harmonious from start to finish with lightly spiced red fruit and that same disarming clarity that I discerned on the finish when I tasted this 2015 in barrel. Superb. Tasted at Flint Wines’ Taupenot-Merme retrospective. (Drink between 2020-2038)
