Like several wines in the range there is an intense floral character to the highly restrained nose that combines notes of red cherry, plum and prominently earthy aromas. The rich, full-bodied and obviously well-concentrated yet notably finer flavors possess excellent mid-palate fat that partially buffers the natural tendency of young Latricières towards austerity on the stony and detailed but slightly drying finish as the stems are in evidence. As pretty as this is on the nose and mid-palate, it's not clear that the supporting tannins will harmonize with the finish.
