The 2023 Saint-Véran Premiers Jus has retained some of the reduction it exhibited during élevage, mingling notions of pear, toasted sesame and nuts with hints of struck match. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and chalky, it's a dense, mineral wine derived from Guffens's holdings in Les Combes.

Offering up a youthfully reductive nose of pear, lime zest, toasted nuts and wet stones, the 2023 Saint-Véran Premiers Jus is medium to full-bodied, satiny and electric, with racy acids and a level of cut and tension that's rare in this vintage. It's derived from the first-press juice from Guffens's holdings in lieu-dit Les Combes.
