Moderate wood sets off a layered and intense black fruit and beautifully spiced nose that is in keeping with the rich, full, fresh, sweet and sleekly muscled flavors brimming with dry extract that completely stains and coats the palate on the explosively long finish. Like the Feusselottes, this has lost all trace of the cask-based dryness I saw last year. Really impressive.
