The 2012er Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese offers a beautiful mix of fresh elements including mint, herbs, and citrusy fruits to riper elements such as toffee, pineapple, orange, and whipped coconut cream, all wrapped into very elegant and perfumed flowery scents. The wine proves rich and driven by exotic and ripe fruits on the palate where some apricot adding a touch of smoothness to the experience. The finish is very long, intense, and even powerful and slightly full-bodied (despite the wine only having 7.5% of alcohol). An invigorating and spicy acidity then lifts up the flavors in the aftertaste. This is a hugely impressive Saar Auslese! Now-2037+
