Offering intensity and concentration, the drop-dead gorgeous 2019 Vigna San Giuseppe Riserva, part of the Dynamic Duo of Cavallotto's extraordinary 2019 Riservas, is intensely fragrant, featuring pronounced aromas of violet, baking spice, new leather and baked plum. Offering depth and layers of flavors, the delicious, structured palate delivers layers of ripe Marasca cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg and crushed mint before closing on a note of Earl Grey tea. A network of firm but velvety tannins provides support while bright acidity keeps it energized and balanced. This is one for the long haul. Drink 2031–2054. Abv: 14.5%
